Blight stared hard at the setting as light from the falling sun and the fire behind him gave him a heavy glow. His tan and smooth skin reflected light like water and made gave detail to his abnormally built muscles and body futures from living off the land as a Barbarian his whole life. He was covered in Bear and wolf furs and held on his right a giant hide shield that covered at least half of his massive body. On his back were two laces that carried two flimsy and self-made blades and a massive spike dangles from his left, tied on by some rope and decorated with what ever blood had the misfortune of meeting it the night before. The armor that suited him was plated with various types of jade, steel, metal and hard animal hide and bone, it appeared so heavy that most people and barbarians wouldn't wear it into battle because it'd greatly slow them down, but blight was obviously no ordinary man or Barbarian. The much younger Blight had not yet received the many scares, thrashings, wounds and burns that he obtained threw his year's generalship. He was much more attractive and his body was not yet used and worn then, it is said that when blight first obtained his general career, he was at his prime age. This night greatly reflected that theory and it was also apparent to the Nangen Soldiers that had never knew this Barbaric monster of a human and are now following him into a massive battle with others much like him, they were sketchy, but of course attempted not to show it to Blight and his tribe. An older officer in blue armor cautiously strolls behind Blight, trying not to make any noises as if he were a monster or some terrible predator. He cleared his throat a little and whimpered out a few words "Uh-Blight- or a'- Sir!", blight snorted hard and turn around with much less welcoming and calm eyes, full of a dark brown and power. "Report capt'n" he said with a beastly voice and tainted with broken language, as he was not used to our language as of yet, so much that the captain had a hard time figuring out for a moment what blight had said. He looked up nervously, hoping he understood him correctly, "Uh- I've gathered the troops and briefed them on the coming battle" He began to speak clearer as he noticed Blight staring him down with a confused and almost cold look "They're getting suited and resting now, we should be ready to continue on schedule- or uh- on your command sir.." He gave a simple hard nod to the Captain, which took him off guard as he nervously dismissed himself. That night as they passed threw the moon enchanted river, blight and his kin speed ahead leaving many behind and in the river when the Kio'loi ambushed the army from trees and behind the forests dark cover; they had known that the Nangen Forces were coming. Luckily for the army's officers and soldiers, Blight and his Kin were there to dig them out of a deep whole. General Blight and his kin thrashed threw the Kio'loi with a un-known and thought to be un-realistic power of rage and ability. They pressed threw the bloody and merciless battle at a quick walking pase, crushing and throwing anyone in their way with massive spikes, twisting their bodys. They fought towards the center of the battle, with 100's of Nangen bodies completely mutilated and torn all covering the ground, and as tears of blood covered their faces, armor and hands, they stood their ground even when they were GREATLY outnumbered. The Battle held for hours, as those in the river felt the worst of it, what was once a dark and peaceful forest as well as a white moon colored river was now a blood bath, the river ran red and twisted with bodies both in uniform and not. Eventually, Blight reorganized the army around him and fought off the remaining Kio'loi warriors, though not without a huge set back in the Nangen forces. The Bloody river battle- Blights first battle for Nagnang. ~ApeDragon~ | |
